Cleaning & Care Instructions

Each piece of DESIRON furniture is handcrafted in the USA from the finest materials, We believe that great design should also be functional and a well used part of a home. To assist in maintaining the natural beauty of your furniture, refer to the simple care instructions provided below. Of course, as with all furniture, we suggest the use of coasters, trivets, and placements on wood and metal surfaces to provide additional protection. Water should not be allowed to stand on the furniture surface for an extended period of time, and should be wiped up in a timely manner.

WOOD SURFACES:

Our wood furniture is sealed with low-sheen polyurethane, which protects it against minor spills, scratches and everyday usage. For day-to-day cleaning, use a lightly dampened sponge or soft cotton cloth to clean. To maintain and protect the finish we do not recommend furniture polish such as Pledge or Endust as these products will create a high sheen to your handcrafted low sheen furniture. On occasion, feel free to use oil soap (Murphy’s or similar), diluted with water, as directed on the bottle.



STAINLESS STEEL SURFACES:  

Stainless steel is best treated with a stainless steel cleanser, which can be found at your local hardware store. Apply with a soft cloth to minimize friction or abrasion. For daily cleaning use a soft, damp cloth. To relieve small scratches, we recommend light brushing with a scouring pad, following the grain of the stainless steel.

STEEL/METAL SURFACES:

For daily cleaning use a soft, lightly dampened cloth. For further cleaning, use oil soap (Murphy’s or similar), diluted with water, as directed on the bottle.
